The theme this year is “Animals: Tails and Tales.” The library is only sponsoring a Summer Reading Contest for children ages 0-12 this year. We hope to provide in-house programs with live presenters next year.
The reading contest will begin on June 1st and continue through July 31st. Prizes will be awarded for those who read the most pages. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for each age bracket: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12.
Registration forms are now available at the library to apply in person or you can call 580-726-2535 to register your child over the phone. You may also email their information to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include their name, address, phone number and age.
The summer reading sacks are available to pick up with all of the information for the contest including their reading log, stickers, bookmarks, and certificates.
The Summer Reading Contest is to help children keep their reading skills sharp during the summer break.
